The Paul and Judy Andrews Women's Hospital at Baylor All Saints Medical Center at Fort Worth was selected to receive the 2009 Innovation in Women's Health Award sponsored by The Snowmass Institute and Key Nurse Leaders. The purpose of the award is to recognize and promote outstanding innovation in women's health programming and service delivery. Andrews Women's Hospital was recognized with a specially engraved crystal Innovation in Women's Health Award that was presented at The Snowmass Institute's 25th annual spring conference "Achieving Success in Women's Health" Awards Luncheon on May 4. As the Innovation winner, Andrews Women's Hospital will be featured in the nationally acclaimed Ireland Report on Succeeding in Women's Health newsletter.
The Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council (DFWHC) has announced its board of trustees for 2009. Steve Newton, president of Baylor All Saints Medical Center at Fort Worth and Baylor Medical Center at Southwest Fort Worth, has been named chairman-elect for 2009 and will serve as chairman of the board in 2010.DFWHC is a 73 member-driven organization with approximately 40 years of service to the health care community of North Texas. Governed by a 13-member board of trustees made up of hospital chief executive officers or chief operating officers, the hospital trade association is committed to the continuous improvement of patient care.

Date Awarded: April 18, 2009 Jason Trahan, Pharm.D., pharmacy manager at Baylor All Saints Medical Center at Fort Worth, has received the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP) Pharmacy Mentor Award.Criteria for award nomination calls for demonstrating active involvement in the professional growth and development of other pharmacy practitioners, residents, fellows or students as it relates to the provision of patient care. In addition to his role as pharmacy manager, Trahan has demonstrated the criteria by also serving as the pharmacy practice residency program director and coordinating a majority of the Texas schools of pharmacy student rotations at the hospital.

The Chest Pain Center at Baylor All Saints Medical Center demonstrated its expertise and commitment to quality patient care by meeting or exceeding a wide set of stringent criteria and completing on-site evaluations by a review team from the Society of Chest Pain Centers.
